  • To emerge – to grow and become more than you are so that you can see
  • Problems cannot be solved on the same level that they are created
  • Crisis – turning point
    • Crisis cause you to grow
    • Don’t just go through the problem, grow through the problem

        • Be profitable
      • Then multiply
      • Then replenish
        • Replenish the values, character , and integrity
      • Then subdue
        • You can’t subdue something until the values have been replenish
  • You haveto be submerged before you can emerge
    • In order to go ahead you have to grow your head
  • When it comes to the future, what you see with your eyes closed is more important than what you see with your eyes open
    • Having sight but no vision
  • Anxiety comes from trying to control the future, not from visualizing it
    • The future is actively created
    • You become tomorrow what you’re becoming today
    • If you want to create a masterpiece you must have the master’s peace
      • You don’t get the masters peace until you’ve been

      • The Master Potter can turn any mistake into a masterpiece
      • God has glory in your story
      • Convicted 》 convinced 》 converted 》commissioned
  • A comfort zone is a place of neutrality
    • Being in neutral causes you to coast to the lowest place/point
    • Neutrality is the top of the bottom, but is also the bottom of the top
  • There is fear in leaving a comfort zone
    • You need boldness to leave your comfort zone
      • Willingness to take risks

      • Opportunities bless us when  we see them, recognize them and seize them
  • What are you NOT seeing?
    • Most of the time what you need is right in front of you
    • Once an idea is accepted by your subconscious it remains there until it is replaced or changed

II Kings 6:1-7

The company of the prophets said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we meet with you is too small for us. Let us go to the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to meet.”

And he said, “Go.”

Then one of them said, “Won’t you please come with your servants?”

“I will,” Elisha replied. And he went with them.

They went to the Jordan and began to cut down trees. As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. “Oh no, my lord!” he cried out. “It was borrowed!”

The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float. “Lift it out,” he said. Then the man reached out his hand and took it.

  • Until you identify the problem, you cannot solve it
    • A problem well-defined is a problem half-solved
    • a problem can be solved, facts of life can not
  • Problems drive us to find solutions
    • Before you find the solution, a problem can make you miserably uncomfortable
    • Discomfort is the thing that motivates change
      • When you grow, the problem will shrink
      • Growth needs finance (input)
        • Complacency=death, the sign of things not growing

Life lessons

  • The fear of losing can spoil the joy of using
  • When you don’t understand purpose, the result is misuse or disuse
  • You can’t fix a problem with a man’s feet until you fix the problem in his head
  • What you perceive as a person’s needs is not always synonymous with what he wants
  • Charity without treatment is often short lived
    • You cannot fix with money, what should be fixed with prayer and wisdom
  • Don’t just observe situations, deduce and learn from them
    • Reflection turns experience into insight

Vs. 3 – wherever you go, carry your leader with you

Vs. 4 – something must come down in order for something else to go up

  • Maintain equilibrium
    • The greater the responsibility, the less personal freedom
    • Am I willing to decrease ______ to increase _______

Vs. 5 – mishaps occur whenever you’re building something

  • It’s easier to correct a mistake, impossible to correct inaction
    • You can correct something, cant correct nothing

Pray like it’s all left up to God, but work like it’s all up to you.

  • God will give you the foundational tools, but the work is your responsibility
    • You would become weak/spoiled if he did everything for you
    • God doesn’t bless what you pray, he blesses what you do

Your cutting edge is on a ticking time clock

Vs. 6 – go back to the last place you had “it”

  1. Clearly defined goals and a plan of execution
    1. The average person has a goal, the elite have a strategy
  2. They gather a lot of information
    1. Build on your strengths
  3. They learn from others
    1. Mistakes, customer, etc
  4. They have good pal on their team
    1. If you can’t afford to hire the best, hire the best and train them
    2. Study an organization, find weaknesses and develop a strategy to address the?
      1. They are courageously creative/innovative
        1. Find and unmet need and meet it
        2. They find an itch and scratch it
          1. They partner with others who have strengths that cover their weaknesses

GO BACK

Vs. 7 – Pick it up YOURSELF!!

  • Put a stick to it

If you’re tired of starting over, stop quitting!

Don’t look for others to do for you what you were designed to do for yourself

Crosshair

Im at a crossroad in my life, or should I say a crosshair?
I look around for my savior but there is no cross there.
As much thinking as Ive been doing I should`ve lost hair.
If you look in my eyes there is just a lost stare.

What did I do? Did i really ruin my potential for greatness?
Or is it something that comes with time and I’m just impatient?

Patience, it’s a documented fact that I have none of that.
So I tried to journey out but forgot my backpack.
I should have been more prepared and at least brought knapsack.
But like a quarterback with no lineman I hiked and got sacked.

Linebackers bulldozed through like a tractor.
My imaginary Offensive line was a non factor.
I absorbed the hit and staggered attempting to avoid disaster I threw the ball like a passer.

I took a big hit like the original Madden hit stick,
But this lick is the one that damn near left my wig split.

My spirit is broken and I’m trying to recover,
And like my credit card I’m trying to discover the values my mother instilled in me when I was younger.

Somewhere along the way this life stopped going according to plan, or is it that I didn’t plan according to life?
I guess I didn’t plan for affording the lights, because there’s a price to pay before your rewarding is bright.

My desires duck behind any obstacle able to obstruct and muck up whatever’s possible.
I require whatever’s optimal, and I’m sticking with the plan no audibles.

Lessons learned are more then what’s audible…
You observe what’s optical, touch what’s topical
And hope to hop out of harm’s way before situations become volatile.

I’m learning that possible isn’t always the precursor to probable.
Expecting dreams to land in your lap isn’t logical.
If anything that’s an expectation that’s comical.

Yet, this is no laughing matter.
Dreams I had of rising through the corporate ladder are almost shattered.
In the book of life I’m ready to write a new chapter leaving the former pages tattered.

I’ve seen this all before, images of me unmotivated but wanting more with my ambitions lacking a core.
The dreams that I adore are crumbling and crashing to the floor with no hope of being restored.
Instead, I implore images of me shopping for more than what’s in store reupholstering my life with new decor.

Or … to at least be more comfortable,
And be able to corral comfort outside my comfort zone.
I also need to confront my fear of doing things alone, especially since fear is an emotion I don’t condone.
Fear isn’t a characteristic of the heir to the throne, I want to call shots without lifting a phone.

Suppose I give up, what would my life become?
The story of a young man whose composure spun undone?
My life is fit for more than a story on “Unsung,”
nor will it resemble and instrument that has come unstrung

I won’t fade quietly.
I won’t stray mindlessly,
but I passed time dealing with this pain silently because it slowly drained the fight in me.
I used to fight pridefully.
Then started to stand idly, until I sought the Lord and his blessings spread wildly.

My ambition returned and from the pain I’ve learned that you can’t play with fire and not expect to get burned.
Now I yearn for the guidance of God casting away my concerns to be deferred.

I’m no longer in a gun’s sight centered in the crosshair
Instead, it’s the scope of my eye and there is a cross there.
